Announcing Cif Talk

Next Thursday, there will be Cif Talk ! I’ll have to contact each of the 12 winners of the Who Is Cif contest and talk to them about their prizes.

As I’ve said in the official event post, we, here at Cifnet LTD., are not fans of prizes for prizes sake, and what we want is the winners to feel that they actually won something great πŸ˜€ I hope they’ll be very, very happy and excited about what they can get and I can hardly wait to get to know them all better. They are great people !

And I also hope that I can help them find the things they need to make their professional or their personal life better. If I can manage that, then I’ll trully be happy and this event will be a complete succes !

The Social Widget

I think it should actually be the Social Widget-s

Some people may wish to choose what social media integration they want, unlike @ blogger themes or blogger where you can only have a limited set given by them.

I for one, like to have a facbook thing, a stumble upon and maybe a twitter or tweetmeme.

And maybe I would like this post to be only Stumble Upon -able πŸ˜› (I’m not sure that’s a word :)) )

  StumbleUpon

It doesn’t really want to take in the code, I guess it’s because that “expr” part

<a expr:href=’&quot;http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit?url=http://www.florin-muresan.cif2.net/the_social_widget-pag397.html’ rel=’external nofollow’ target=’_blank’><img alt=’StumbleUpon’ class=’bookmark-icon’ src=’http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wa6zL1GRiOs/Sdj7lApeS4I/AAAAAAAACkE/
Xo8MWsu96Fo/s1600/stumbleupon.png’/></a>

So the real question is:

Should the user define a small bar of social buttons that appear in every post, or should he/she post what buttons she wants in every post (through the Cif2 Editor) ?

I personally say: Let’s have them both !

Especially becuase you may want to have only a small “Like” button at your About page. You may not want to have that too crowded with other social media buttons.

I think this would provide everyone with a much friendlier and easier platform πŸ˜‰ And also one with no head-aches attached πŸ˜›

CifTalk Logo

Yes, I’ve just finished the logo for next week’s event with the winners of Who Is Cif and here it is !

Who Is Cif Winners Announced !

I’ve announced the winners of the Who Is Cif contest yesterday http://whoiscif.blogspot.com/2010/08/winners-of-first-round.html

I told each one of them about their win and I was very pleasantly surprised that they thanked me a lot and said they were very happy and excited about winning πŸ˜€

It’s things like these that make PR-ing worthwhile. Great talking to them, they are great people πŸ™‚

I have another special event for them and I will announce it tomorrow.

@Twitter search results

The twitter search results before the 17th August have been deleted. Name it whatever you want, I name it CRIME ! :))

A little bit exaggerated maybe, but still, it’s hard without them, especially when you counted on them for your PR campaign 😐

Experience, bad or good, makes you wiser, ey ?

So please be careful, you other PRs out there, how you use twitter and how much you depend on that system.
